"YAWN YARD" opened in 2024 on Kouri Island, Okinawa, and is an accommodation facility that proposes a new hotel form called "Garden where you can stay." We were responsible for the art direction of all touchpoints, from naming and logo design to websites, employee behavior, and more. This hotel is different from ordinary luxury hotels, pursuing "tolerance and generosity" and "simplicity and sincerity" that coexist with nature. In addition, we have designed a design system that can flexibly respond to operational adjustments after opening. Based on the standards of "YAWN (tolerance and generosity)" and "YARD (unpretentiousness)", we have developed original fonts. This value is shared with all those involved, including architects, chefs, landscapers, and more, and a sustainable system that employees can update autonomously.
