The library's design philosophy is mainly reflected in three aspects. First, traditional elements are innovatively applied to contemporary design. For instance, the innovative design of the spiral staircase not only enhances spatial continuity but also fills the entire space with artistic tension. Secondly, the clever interaction between linear solid wooden bookshelves, grey wool carpets, light grey latex paint, gradient glass, and Forbidden City red wall primer creates a simple yet rhythmic atmosphere. Of particular note are the translucent window flowers from the Republican era and marble mosaic on the ground, which add vitality to the space while showcasing cultural accumulation and historical charm. These elements collectively demonstrate the innovative spirit of transforming traditional Chinese aesthetics into contemporary aesthetics. Furthermore, the lighting design hiding within the display boards keeps the integrity of the ceiling while eliminating dazzling glare, offering readers a comfortable reading experience. Lastly, the designer emphasizes the concept of breaking spatial boundaries. Each floor is connected directly with a rotating staircase, creating a continuous and harmonious space and enhancing spatial fluidity.
