Li Yongzheng is the founding partner and principal architect of UUA Architects, fully responsible for the studio's design creation and project quality control. He places great emphasis on the expression of culture in architectural design while also valuing innovation in building technology, details, and materials.
Li Yongzheng earned his master's degree from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL), with both his graduation project and thesis receiving outstanding awards. He previously worked at Foster and Partners in London, serving as a key design member for Apple's U.S. headquarters project, deeply involved in the design process from concept to construction drawings. Li Yongzheng is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a registered architect in the UK.
Li Yongzheng was selected as one of the 40 outstanding young designers in the Asia-Pacific region in the 2022 Hong Kong PERSPECTIVE 40 under 40 Awards and was invited to serve as a judge for the Architizer A Awards in the U.S. from 2023 to 2025. Designs by Li Yongzheng and the UUA team have won numerous prestigious domestic and international awards, including the 2021 WAN Awards Gold in the UK, the 2021 DFA Asia Design Awards Excellence Award, the 2021 ICONIC Awards Winner in Germany, the 2022 IDA Awards Gold in the U.S., the 2022 London Outstanding Property Awards Platinum, the 2022 GFD Awards Gold in the U.S., the 2022 WD Awards World Design Award in the U.S., the 2022 A'Design Award Gold in Architectural Design in Italy, the 2023 BLT Architecture Design Award in Switzerland, the 2023 DNA Paris Design Award, the 2023 Home Gallery China Interior Design Award, and the 2023 Architizer A Award for Best Commercial Firm in the U.S., among others.
