As the first art exhibition hall in Shenzhen with ecological civiliza-tion as its core, this venue integrates the environmental protection functions of a water purification plant with the cultural needs of the city through artistic expression and technological display. It is an innovative cultural space that combines ecological education, art ex-hibitions, and public education.
In terms of design, the semi-underground structure of the water puri-fication plant is utilized to combine the wastewater treatment process with artistic display. The project employs three colors—“technology blue,” “ecology green,” and “life orange”—to reflect its attrib-utes. Combined with electro-optical glass, large-scale water ecosystem light installations, and 5D immersive multimedia devices, it creates an “ecological art that can be perceived.” In terms of spatial plan-ning, functionality and comfort are fully considered, with reasonable division of exhibition areas, interactive zones, and rest areas, providing visitors with a high-quality experience.
This design is not only an exhibition space but also a work that deep-ly integrates spatial design with cultural connotations. It interprets the theme of ecological and environmental protection with innovative design methods, offering a Chinese model for ecological spaces in high-density urban areas globally.
